CBSE conducts CTET exam every year for the recruitment of candidates as teacher for class 1st to 8th at government and private school in center. CTET exam is conducted is conducted to test the candidates ability. Exam Pattern

Exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II

  • Paper I: This exam is for the candidates who want to become primary teachers(For classes I to V).This paper has time allotment  of 120 minutes (2 Hrs) and there will be no negative marking so attempt as many questions as you want without any deduction in marks. Pattern of paper I is given below :

As this paper consists of five different sections:

  1.  Child Development and Pedagogy (Total 30 Questions)
  •  Child Development (Primary School Child)-15 Questions
  •  Concept of Inclusive education and understanding children with special needs- 5 Questions
  •  Learning and Pedagogy -10 QuestionsLanguage I (Total 30 Questions)

2.    Language Comprehension (15 Questions)

  •   Pedagogy in Language Development ( 15 Questions)

3.   Language II (Total 30 Questions)

  • Comprehension (15 Questions)
  • Pedagogy of Language Development ( 15 Questions)

4.   Mathematics (Total 30 Questions)

  • Content (15 Questions)
  • Pedagogical issues (15 Questions)

5. Environmental Studies( Total 30 Questions)

  • Content (15 Questions)
  • Pedagogical Issues (15 Questions)
  • Paper II- Paper II will contain the first three sections but its difficulty level will be high as this is for Upper Primary Classes (For clsses VI to VIII) The following two sections will be included in Paper II.
  1. Mathematics and Science(Total 60 Questions)

Mathematics-30 Questions

  • Content Questions-20 Questions
  • Pedagogical Issues-10 Questions

Science-30 Questions

  • Content -20 Questions
  • Pedagogical Issues-10 Questions

2.  Social Science and Social studies(Total 60 Questions)

  • Content Questions-40 Questions
  • Pedagogical Issues-20 Questions
